Flag Football PART 4

Make sure that your document includes:

Title

Names

Sub-Headings for each section

Screenshots for offense and defense

Descriptions of what happened in the play and how to improve it

Descriptions of how the defense worked on stopping the play and how you would change that

Once you think you are finished share the document with: bcalvert@pottervalleyschools.us
PLEASE PUT YOUR NAMES IN THE TITLE DOCUMENT!

Flag Football PART 3

Flag football is obviously not just about offense but also about defense.

Analyse each of the plays that you ran and evaluate how the defense did at stopping the play.

-How did they line up at the start of the play?

-When the play started how did the defense players move?
(did they rush the QB, stay at the back, follow the receivers etc.)

-Were they able to stop the offense?

-What do you think they did well?

-What changes would you recommend?

Explain these questions in your Google Doc and add a screenshot for each play along with your writing.

Flag Football PART 2

START A NEW GOOGLE DOC AND THEN:

Write a summary for each play that includes:

  • -          A description of the differences between the plan and the actual play.
  • -          Add at least 3 screenshots (at least one per pay) that show the differences.
  • -          Make recommendation for how the play could change to make it work better.

Flag Football PART 1

Watch the videos of your plays.
As accurately as possible draw in your playbook what happened below the play that you ran.

Use:
Dotted line - Ball
Solid Line - Player Running
X - Offense Player
O - Defense Player

FRIDAY

Today is the final day.

By the end of the lesson you should have finished your workout and submitted it by sharing the file with (official deadline in midnight Sunday but don't waste your weekend on this):

bcalvert@pottervallyschools.us

Remember to use the checklist to see if it is complete AND INCLUDE YOUR NAMES!

Workout card (you may work as a pair)

Using the examples that we saw from the general workout card and the superhero workouts, create your won workout.

The workout needs to be/have:
- Clear title
- Drawings in a Google Doc that show the exercise
- Descriptions to clarify if needed.
- Include at least 9 different exercises.
- Work, in varied ways, the core, arms/shoulders, and legs.
- Show 'Sets' and 'Reps' for each exercise that are realistic for most students of a sophomore age.
- Label the Protagonist (P) muscle and the Antagonist (A) muscle clearly for each exercise.

or

Workout video (you may work in a group of three)

Using the examples that we saw from the general workout card and the superhero workouts, create your won workout.

The workout needs to be/have:
- Clear introduction
- Explain and demonstrate each exercise clearly
- Give pointers during the exercises
- Last for at least 5 minutes
- Work, in varied ways, the core, arms/shoulders, and legs.
- Show 'Sets' and 'Reps' for each exercise that are realistic for most students of a sophomore age.
- Explain the Protagonist (P) muscle and the Antagonist (A) muscle clearly for each exercise.

THURSDAY

Today you will be in the gym. This is your chance to try the workouts you have designed.

Workout cards:
Check that they are:
- Covering all 3 muscle areas (arms/shoulders, legs, core)
- The correct level for most students of a sophomore age
- Realistic in difficulty (not too easy or difficult) in reps and Sets.

I would recommend trying your own workout and then ahving another group give it a try and get feedback.

Videos:
Use today to video your workout, you can do this on any smartphone.

After filming try playing the video back to your group and testing if it works.

WEDNESDAY

PROJECT DEADLINE: MIDNIGHT SUNDAY (BUT TRY AND FINISH BY FRIDAY)

Now it is your turn to design a workout!
Using the information and exercises you saw during the workout videos and workout cards, you will design a workout.

You have two options:

Track & Field - Final Checklist.

The final checklist, if you have all these things then you document is done!!! Monday will be the last day to work IN CLASS.

Assignment due on Wednesday.

Checklist:

  • One document that contains drawings of the 3 techniques and copied in 'ideal pictures'.
  • the drawing document contains your name and a title of the technique that you are describing.

  • a written document that contains a section for each technique.
  • the document starts with your name.
  • the descriptions tell the different between your drawings and the ideal picture.
  • the descriptions also tell the difference between the ideal drawings and your techique videos.
  • the descriptions are detailed and explain the actual technique parts that could be improved

  • all your writing should include paragraphs, linebreaks, punctuation, and correct spelling.

Track & Field - Part 3

So now you have your videos! Go to this link:

And find the videos that show you doing the three different techniques.

The last part of the analysis is to compare your technique to the 'ideal pictures'.
This means reviewing the videos slowly and a few times until you can clearly see the differences.

In your document add a section that explain clearly what is different in your technique and the ideal. Where can you improve?

Track & Field Technique Analysis - PART 2

Next set of instructions:

Look through the posts on the class website and copy one of the pictures of the ideal technique into your document that has your drawings of the technique.

Start a new Google Doc. Write a description for each technique that highlights the differences between your drawings and the ideal picture. This is the first step of analysis.

Track & Field Analysis Instructions

This project will be a three step analysis of the technique for Shotput, Discus, and Javelin.

You will compare your drawings on the technique with an ideal example of the technique, followed by screenshots of yourself doing the technique.

DAY 1:

  • Open Microsoft Paint or go to Google Drive and Open Google Drawing.

  • You will create three separate documents. You will draw the technique for each event using a series of stick figures. Example below.

  • Draw what you think the PERFECT technique is.

BELOW IS AN EXAMPLE FOR THE SPRINT START.
THE ONES YOU DRAW WILL NEED MORE PICTURES TO GET THROUGH THE WHOLE TECHNIQUE.
